Both campsites line the same Mediterranean, but in two different areas of the Var coast: Au Paradis des Campeurs in Les Issambres, on the French Riviera towards Fréjus / Saint-Raphaël; Camp du Domaine in Bormes-les-Mimosas, on the Cap Bénat peninsula, further west along the Maures coast. How to choose between them?

Are you after peace and quiet or entertainment?

Travelling with a dog?

Au Paradis des Campeurs lives up to its “dog paradise” nickname: forest nearby, a dog-friendly beach 100 m away, and pets welcome both on pitches and in rentals. At Camp du Domaine, dogs are allowed on camping pitches but not in most rentals.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Camp du Domaine and Au Paradis des Campeurs?
Camp du Domaine, in Bormes-les-Mimosas, is a large 5-star family estate of 45 hectares on the seafront, lively and sporty (direct beach access, kids’ and teens’ clubs, tennis, evening shows, water sports). Au Paradis des Campeurs, in Les Issambres, is a warm 4-star campsite, calm and leafy, open all year, a 2-minute walk from La Gaillarde beach. Two opposite atmospheres for two types of holiday.
Which campsite is open all year on the French Riviera?
Au Paradis des Campeurs, in Les Issambres, is open all year. Camp du Domaine, like most large seafront campsites in the Var, only opens in season, from a week before Easter to 31 October. For a winter stay or outside the school holidays, choose Au Paradis des Campeurs.
Which campsite allows dogs on the beach and in rentals?
Au Paradis des Campeurs welcomes dogs (except categories 1 and 2), both on pitches and in rentals, and gives access to the Vallon de la Gaillarde forest as well as a dog-friendly beach 100 m away. Which campsite is the quietest, without jet skis or entertainment?
Au Paradis des Campeurs is about 4 km from the nearest harbour: clear, calm water, no jet skis or towed buoys off the beach, and no evening entertainment. Camp du Domaine borders a large sandy beach whose south section welcomes jet skis, wakeboarding, paddle and kayak, and offers kids’ clubs, evening shows and an entertainment programme; the atmosphere is livelier. For peace and quiet, Au Paradis des Campeurs.
Do you need a car to stay at Camp du Domaine?
