Frequently asked questions

Can you stay overnight in a motorhome in Les Issambres?
Yes. The Chez Marcel aire, beside the RD559 at La Gaillarde, takes motorhomes, vans and campervans: 14 pitches of 30 to 32 m², 6 A electricity, water and waste disposal included, the beach 40 m away, open all year round and bookable online. The other aires nearby are in Roquebrune-sur-Argens, Saint-Aygulf and Sainte-Maxime.
What is the difference between a municipal aire and a campsite motorhome area?
A municipal aire is an overnight parking area: automatic barrier, limited stay (48 hours to 4 days), a water and waste point, rarely electricity and almost never showers. A campsite aire like Chez Marcel also opens up the toilet blocks, the restaurant, the shop and the laundry, with no time limit. The municipal aire is often cheaper; the campsite aire offers more services.
Does Chez Marcel accept motorhomes longer than 7.5 m?
No. The pitches are designed for up to 7.5 metres. Beyond that we will point you to a campsite pitch, which takes vehicles up to 13 metres depending on the category.
Which aires do you compare?
On the coast: the municipal aires of Sainte-Maxime and Ramatuelle (Pampelonne beach), Espace Arena in Roquebrune-sur-Argens, the motorhome area of the Camping de Saint-Aygulf Plage and the Camping-Car Park Cavalière in Le Lavandou. Inland: the motorhome pitches of L’Eau Vive campsite in Les Arcs-sur-Argens, the Camping-Car Park at Lac de Saint-Cassien in Montauroux, the Hautes Vernèdes campsite in Puget-sur-Argens and the Les Clos campsite in Bagnols-en-Forêt. In the upper Var and the Maures hills: the Camping-Car Park in Salernes, the Collobrières aire, the Camping-Car Park in Le Thoronet and the Comps-sur-Artuby aire. The list will grow season after season.
Are electricity, water and waste disposal included at Chez Marcel?
Yes. The nightly rate includes the pitch, 6 A electricity, fresh water and waste water disposal. The campsite toilet blocks and showers are 50 metres away, as are the restaurant, the shop and the laundry.
